Websites are very important for almost any type of business. There are over 397.9 million internet users across European Union and around 4.6 million internet users in Slovakia. And in this era of digitalization people look online for products or services they want to purchase using search engines like Google and others. A website provides your business an online presence allowing prospects to find easily the products or services you are providing.
STEP 1: Think of a Domain Name
A domain name is the address used in the URL to find your website. For example, to find us, JTY Business Hub, you insert in your browser URL www.jtybusinesshub.com. A domain name may have other suffixes (top-level domains) like .net, .org, .sk, .cz etc. But the most common one is .com, like www.nameofyourchoice.com.
Why is it important to think of a domain name? Because your domain is an important part of your business branding. If your domain name matches your business name, it will be easier for the customers to remember it and to find you online through search engines. This generates traffic on your site and builds a strong reputation of trust on your business.
STEP 2: Purchase a Domain Name
There are many websites such google, Godaddy, Bluehost, etc where you can acquire domain names. One thing to note, do not be surprised if the domain names you were thinking of were already purchased by someone else. The first quarter of 2020 closed with 366.8 million domain name registrations across all top-level domains (TLDs), an increase of 4.5 million domain name registrations, or 1.2 percent, compared to the fourth quarter of 2019. And this number increases every single day.
So there is already a high probability that someone has already thought of your combination and purchased it. Still, you can rearrange the wording of your domain name, or change the .com to .net or .sk or .org or to whichever one is available.
And if you really want your combination but which happens to be already purchased, you can try to call the owner and buy it from him or her.
